Photoshoot at the Park!

Hey Everyone!

This was quite a while ago, but I want to share some pictures I took of my sister at our local park! I took them when I Heart Faces was doing the "Sunglasses" category. It was my first time doing a photoshoot at somewhere other than my house! So, this is a milestone in my photography! hehe I also edited them in Photoshop Elements 8-we bought it! Yay! :)

I Heart Faces: Got To Wear Shades

Hey everyone! I am sorry about my lack of pictures lately, we are getting a new computer hard-drive soon!

We went to the park, and this was such a pretty setting! It was my first time doing a photoshoot somewhere other than my own backyard! It was SO much fun! :)

Flowers To Brighten Your Day...

A Day at the Lake...

This past weekend we went to my Grandad's cabin at a lake community. In his backyard is Lake Lorelei, a lake where we like to go fishing and go out on his boat to enjoy the scenery. The perfect place for pictures! Good thing I had my camera! My cousins were there too, and we had a lot of fun! :)

Here is part of the Lake, it is really pretty with the sun shines on it! :)

This girl Water Skiing looked like she was having fun! I would love to try that sometime!

Here's my dad driving my Grandad's boat! :)

These Geese were in someone's yard! lol :)

My dad drove the boat to the Lake's "Clubhouse" and next to it is a small beach. The water is shallow there too, and roped off so you can swim! :)

My sister and cousin had fun drawing in the sand! hehe :)

After our trip to the small beach, we went back to the cabin and did some more fishing! One of my cousins caught a really nice Croppy!

My sister and cousin's also posed for some pictures. They were great models! :)

Fun at the Zoo!

Zoo trips are always so much fun! Here are my pictures of our local Zoo, when we went a few weekends ago! :)

I am not a huge fan of Apes or monkeys, but these turned out great! (I love my Zoom! :)

Feeding the Lorikeet Birds was funny! Those birds were crazy! The picture above is of me feeding one of the Lorikeets. My dad took it, and it's so cool that you can see the motion of the feather flapping. Though, guess where it was headed to?

Yep, right on my head! It was pretty funny! :D

Here's my mom with a Lorikeet! They loved her earrings! :)

There was small nature scenes at the Zoo, like this waterfall and flower too! Things people walk by, but are very beautiful!

Also, we went to a new attraction at the Zoo-A Cheetah Run! We saw the fastest mammal run, it was really neat!!

Then we went to one of the Bird Shows!

A few days after we went to the Zoo, we heard that this Falcon above accidentally flew away during one of the Bird Shows! Poor little guy. :(

This is a beautiful Bald Eagle that was in the show! His name is Sam, how cute is that? I can see why this is the National Bird of the U.S.A.

Interesting Purple Flower

Since I LOVE taking pictures of flowers, I am very happy we have some in our backyard! A few days ago I came across these beautiful purple flowers (I think they are Iris) we have growing. They had a really interesting design on them!

Aren't they a gorgeous purple?

I have never seen a design like this before! I am happy that I can show it to all of you! :)

Four Bright Blue Eggs

Look what we found a few days ago...



We have had several robin's lay eggs in our fruit trees over the past years, and every time I love watching the baby birds grow up! My dad took this picture for me with my camera. I tried to take some, but I was too short! lol :)

Whenever I think of baby birds I think of this Bible Verse...

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" -Matthew 6:26

The Beginning of the Journey!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Uniquely Me Photography, my new Photography blog! I have always admired other people's photography blogs, so I decided to create my own!

My name is Jessica, and I am a 16 year old Christian homeschooled girl. I love photography, and being behind my camera is my favorite place in the world! I have loved photography ever since I got my first digital camera when I was 12 years old. The camera I have now is a Point and Shoot Canon Powershot SX120 IS, and I love it!! :) Though, even before I had a camera, I loved posing in front of one! :)

I love Nature Photography, especially taking pictures of flowers! I am trying my best to expand my photography to take pictures of people. I am just not too good at people photography yet. lol

I cannot wait to get started posting! For now, here are nature pictures I took recently. Don't worry there will be plenty more! :)
